I work predominantly in hardwood and trained initially in craftsmanship, both hand and machine. I have trained in design, and am passionate about where and how the qualities & beauty of wood can be used in an object, where it is fit for purpose, can offer an efficient elegant solution, and how it can respond to human needs, both practical and emotional. I am inspired by the Swedish principle of smart workmanship and simplicity, and work in the dynamic place where craft and design meet.

I graduated in July 2010 with a BFA in Wood-0riented Furniture Design from HDK Steneby, Goteborgs Universitet, Sweden. I've  studied Furniture Design & Craftsmanship in Buckinghamshire New University, UK, from 2006-'08. I have also worked as an assistant lecturer at HDK Steneby from 2013-15.

I work with quality materials and create products based on solid design principles - good sound function, locally made, built-to-last longevity, meaning and durable beauty.
